Boston Marathon Bombing

At the vegan cafe where I work, I found a ladybug while washing some kale. I dropped everything to bring this little fella outside into the herb garden that we keep near the entrance. Upon returning into the cafe, my boss crosses the room with a grave look on her face, and in her Japanese accent, tells me “Terror” and points to her iphone screen. Just as I saved one little ladybug, 150 other souls were injured, and a few deaths…all during an event that is meant to be community-building, healthy and fun. It’s a pure tragedy.
